Prayers for Healing Eyes

John 8:12

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

This passage emphasizes the faith expected from us. We simply walk in the path of the Lord, and He will lead us to salvation. We have nothing else to do, no other decisions to make; we simply accept that God is the light of the world, and we should follow.

Psalm 146:8

“The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.”

The power of the Lord is awesome and endless. All He asks of us is our faith and our righteousness.

Mark 8:22-25

“They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, ‘Do you see anything?’ He looked up and said, ‘I see people; they look like trees walking around.’ Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”

Jesus’ healing touch is miraculous and powerful. This passage shows His willingness and ability to restore sight to the blind.

Psalm 119:18

“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.”

This prayer asks for spiritual insight and clarity, recognizing that understanding God’s law is a form of sight.

Isaiah 35:5

“Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.”

This prophecy speaks of a future where God’s intervention will bring about miraculous healing and restoration.

Matthew 9:27-30

“As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, ‘Have mercy on us, Son of David!’ When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith let it be done to you’; and their sight was restored.”

Faith plays a crucial role in healing, as demonstrated by these blind men who believed in Jesus’ power to heal.

2 Kings 6:17

“And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

This prayer calls for spiritual vision, asking God to reveal His protection and presence.

Ephesians 1:18

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”

Paul’s prayer is for spiritual enlightenment, that believers might fully understand the hope and riches they have in Christ.

Revelation 3:18

“I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”

This verse emphasizes the need for spiritual salve, a metaphor for divine insight and clarity.

These prayers and verses focus on both physical and spiritual healing for the eyes, highlighting the power of faith and divine intervention.
