Brothers and Sisters in Christ, rejoice!

Coach Joe Kennedy, a faithful servant of the Lord, has triumphantly returned to the football field after an eight-year hiatus! His unwavering commitment to prayer—taking a knee on the 50-yard line post-game to commune with our Heavenly Father—was challenged.

Still, the U.S. Supreme Court has affirmed his First Amendment right to religious expression. Finally, Coach Kennedy was warmly welcomed back, resuming his role as an assistant football coach amid cheers and victory.

In a display of divine favor, Coach Kennedy’s first day back was nothing short of a blessing. The sun shone brightly, the stands teemed with supporters, and his team secured a win.

After the game, Kennedy humbly took a knee, offering gratitude to God in solitude.

His integrity shone as he carefully navigated the delicate balance of faith and profession. The team, too, showed solidarity, with a dozen players marking their faces with crosses—a silent testament to their shared faith. Coach Kennedy’s heart is set on unity, encouraging all to stand together and recognize our equality under God’s gaze.

Coach Kennedy’s story is one of perseverance, community, and the power of prayer.

With a forthcoming book, “Average Joe: The Coach Joe Kennedy Story,” he aims to inspire and uphold the truth of his journey. His commitment to love both God and neighbor echoes throughout his life as a Marine and coach. As he discerns his calling, possibly in ministry, his infectious smile reflects the joy of a victorious fight for faith and freedom.

In the spirit of Coach Kennedy’s steadfast faith, let us reflect on the words of Scripture: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7. Keep shining your light, and may your days be filled with victories, both on and off the field!

Heavenly Father,

We give thanks for Coach Joe Kennedy’s steadfast faith and the courage to stand by his convictions. Bless his journey ahead as he continues to inspire and lead with a heart full of Your love and guidance.

May his story encourage others to uphold their beliefs with grace and strength. Protect him and his team, Lord, as they not only play the game but also live out their faith on and off the field. In Your holy name, we pray.

Amen.
